A 54-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a motorcycle in San Diego on Tuesday night, July 30, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 11:16 p.m. at 4000 Sports Arena Boulevard in the Midway neighborhood.
Police said that the pedestrian, described as a 54-year-old man, was walking eastbound mid-block along the boulevard when he was struck by a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle. He suffered serious injuries, including a fractured left femur, and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the rider, identified as a 41-year-old man, was knocked off his motorcycle and was found unresponsive at the scene. His current condition was not immediately disclosed.
The collision remains under investigation. Further details have yet to be released once they become available.
