A 32-year-old rider was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Antioch on Saturday night, July 27, 2024.
According to the Antioch Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 4:43 p.m. in front of Bev Box at 907 West 10th Street.
Police stated that a 32-year-old man from Brentwood was riding a motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, he was struck by an SUV. The rider was found with severe injuries and unresponsive on the ground. He was transported to the hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.
It is unknown if anyone else was injured. The investigators examined the video collected at the scene and determined that speeding might have contributed to the collision.
No other details were disclosed, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary information to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
