A 23-year-old rider was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in Santa Ana on Thursday morning, July 25, 2024.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the collision happened around 6:00 a.m. at Bristol Street and Hemlock Way.
Police said that a 23-year-old rider, identified as Tom G. of Santa Ana, was riding north on Bristol, approaching Hemlock. At the same time, the driver of the other vehicle was going south on Bristol, attempting to make a left turn onto Hemlock. As the vehicle started to make the turn, it collided with the motorcycle, causing a fatality.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle was uninjured and cooperated with the investigators. There is no word yet on the identity of the driver.
It is unknown whether drugs, alcohol, or speeding played a role. The collision remains under investigation.
