Injuries are still being examined after a multi-vehicle crash involving at least two big rigs in Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 12:33 p.m. on eastbound Highway 50 near the Pioneer Memorial Bridge. 

Authorities stated that at least two big rigs and three other vehicles were involved in the crash. Emergency medical services were dispatched to give medical attention to the possibly injured individuals. There is no word yet on the names, ages, or genders, of the involved parties. 

The cause of the collision remains unknown. It is still unclear whether drugs, alcohol, or speeding played a role. 

Additional details have yet to be released by the responding officials.
