A passenger was injured after a suspected single-vehicle DUI collision in Los Angeles on early Wednesday morning, July 17, 2024.
According to the responding officials, the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. in the Tarzana neighborhood near Reseda Boulevard and Rosita Street.
Authorities stated that a male driver, whose name and age were not immediately known, lost control of his vehicle while trying to make a right turn near Reseda Boulevard and Rosita Street. As a result, the vehicle crashed through the front wall of a home and engulfed in flames.
A passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash. It is unknown if that person was transported to the hospital for further assessment. As of this writing, their current condition remains unclear.
Police said the home was unoccupied at the time of the incident, but another parked vehicle also burst into flames.
The unidentified male driver was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
