A 55-year-old male pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles in Huntington Beach on Friday night, July 5, 2024.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the deadly pedestrian vs. vehicle collision happened at about 10:00 p.m. on Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard.

The accident reportedly involved a silver 2022 Lexus IS 500 and a blue 2011 Ford Fusion. Reports said that the Lexus was heading east on Warner Avenue when it hit the male pedestrian, who was apparently outside the crosswalk. After the initial crash, the Ford, also traveling eastbound, struck the man for the second time.

The victim, a 55-year-old Huntington Beach local, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries at the medical facility shortly after. Further information about the identity of the deceased was not available at this time.

The Lexus and Ford drivers, a 28-year-old man and a 61-year-old man, respectively, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. HBPD said that driver impairment did not seem to be a factor in either driver’s crash.

Potential witnesses are asked to contact the authorities at 714-536-5231 to help determine the incident’s circumstances.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
