A 53-year-old man was killed after a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Madera on Saturday afternoon, July 6, 2024.
According to the authorities, the fatal accident happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Raymond Road, north of Cleveland Avenue.
When responders arrived, they found the victim lying in the southbound lane of the roadway with concerning injuries to his head and body area. The 53-year-old man died at the scene shortly after. Further information about the deceased’s identity, such as his name and place of origin, was not disclosed.
It is still unclear how the crash occurred, but authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation. The driver, only described as a 71-year-old man, appeared uninjured.
