One person was killed, while another was hospitalized following a motorcycle head-on collision in Butte County on Thursday evening, June 27, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 7:00 p.m. on Skyway north of Powellton Road.
Initial reports suggest that a juvenile from Magalia was riding an unspecified motorcycle going south on Skyway using the northbound lane. At the same time, another rider, a Stirling City man, was traveling along the same roadway using the same lane. For reasons still unclear, the two motorcycles crashed head-on.
When CHP officers arrived, they found the two motorcyclists with severe injuries. They were then airlifted to Enloe Hospital for treatment.
The Stirling City man, later identified as 31-year-old Aaron D., died at the hospital at around 3:00 a.m. on Friday.
On the other hand, the Magalia juvenile rider was transferred to U.C. Davis for further medical care. CHP could not get an update on the injured juvenile’s current condition.
The motorcycle vs. motorcycle crash is still under investigation. No further information was immediately available.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways.
