An elderly man was injured following a scooter vs. vehicle collision in Turlock on Friday morning, June 28, 2024. 

According to the Turlock Police Department, the crash happened around 11:21 a.m. at Geer Road and Regis Street. 

Authorities said that an elderly man on a motorized scooter with a disabled license plate was struck by a sedan on the roadway. The scooter rider, whose name, age, and place of origin were not immediately known, sustained injuries. Details on the extent of injuries, as well as on the condition of the man, were not disclosed as of this writing. 

It is unknown what caused the collision. Drugs, alcohol, and speeding are being investigated as possible factors. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
