[06-19-2024] Cyclist Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle on Fair Oaks BoulevardA cyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Sacramento County on Wednesday afternoon, June 19, 2024. 

According to the responding officers, the crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Fair Oaks Boulevard near Howe Avenue. 

CHP said that a bicycle rider, whose name, age, and gender were not released, was struck by an unspecified vehicle. The cyclist sustained injuries, but it is unknown if they were transported to the hospital. Details on the extent of the injuries, as well as the current condition of the victim, were not immediately available. 

There is no information confirming if the driver stayed or fled the scene. The role of drugs, alcohol, and speeding is being investigated as factors of the collision. As of writing, the official cause of the crash remains undisclosed.
