[06-18-2024] Two People Hospitalized After Vehicle Crashed Into Home in OrangevaleTwo people were hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a home in Orangevale, Sacramento County, on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2024.

According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident happened at about 7:41 p.m. along Almond Avenue between Strong and Marye Avenues.

Authorities have yet to provide details on how the vehicle collided with the house. It is also unknown how fast the driver was going prior to the collision. Pictures taken from the scene showed the vehicle going into the home itself, destroying a considerable chunk of it in the process.

One person from inside the house was injured and taken to the hospital for further medical care. The driver of the vehicle was said to have been trapped inside the wreckage and needed to be extricated. The driver was also injured and hospitalized.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. At this time, officials haven’t confirmed if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
