A 14-year-old boy was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Hesperia on Monday night, June 10, 2024.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. at Farmington Street and Cottonwood Avenue.

Deputies said that the juvenile rider, later identified as Dylan M., was on a miniature dirt bike when he crashed into an unspecified vehicle at the intersection. Upon arrival, they found the boy severely injured and quickly took him to the hospital. He was declared dead at the facility shortly after.

The circumstances behind the incident remain unclear, including whether or not the driver of the vehicle involved was also injured or if they stayed on the scene.

Additional information was not immediately available. The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
