[06-07-2024] One Person Killed After Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 138 Near PhelanOne person was killed after a two-vehicle collision near Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Friday afternoon, June 7, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:00 p.m. along Highway 138 at Rancho Del La Garto.

Authorities stated that the collision involved a quad motorcycle and an SUV. The rider of the quad motorcycle sustained severe head injuries and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The victim was later pronounced dead due to the severity of the injuries. Information on the identity of the deceased was not disclosed by the authorities. 

It is unknown if anyone else was injured.  At this time, no information is available on how the incident occurred or if speeding played a role. 

Additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision have not yet been provided. The authorities are gathering all the necessary evidence to determine the cause of the crash.
