According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened at around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Florida Street. 

Authorities stated that the officials attempted to stop a white Mazda SUV for an unspecified traffic violation, but the SUV resisted and drove off, initiating a pursuit. The chase between the SUV and the police stopped when the SUV collided with another vehicle.

The two occupants of the SUV were taken into custody by police, and the other driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The extent of injuries and the condition of the victim were not immediately available. At this time, it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. 

Additional details have yet to be released by the authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
