One person was killed, while two others were injured following a single-vehicle crash near Pollock Pines, El Dorado County, on Monday afternoon, May 27, 2024.
According to the El Dorado County Fire Protection District, the deadly accident happened just after 2:00 p.m. along the Mormon Emigrant Trail.
Upon arrival, responders found an overturned pickup truck by Park Creek Road. It wasn’t immediately clear how the pickup overturned or how many people were inside when the incident took place.
One person was declared dead at the scene, while two others survived with injuries. One of the surviving patients was transported to Marshall Hospital. The other was taken to UC Davis Medical Center.
There is no word yet about the identities of the individuals involved in the crash.
No further information was available at this time, and the authorities are still examining all the possible details to determine the cause of the accident and the factors leading up to it.
