[05-18-2024] Woman Killed, Three Others Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Collision Involving DUI on Highway 41A woman was killed, and three others were injured following a multi-vehicle collision involving DUI along Highway 41, Fresno County, on Saturday night, May 18, 2024. 

According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of northbound Highway 41 and Manning Avenue. 

Authorities stated that two vehicles, including a Nissan and a Camaro, were stopped at the intersection’s light when a Ford pickup truck collided rear-end with the Nissan. The Nissan then crashed into the Camaro, resulting in significant vehicle damage. 

The woman driving the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as 65-year-old Mary H. from Helotes, Texas. Her passenger, identified only as a man, was transported to the hospital with injuries.

Police said that the driver of the pickup truck was identified as 54-year-old David A. of Madera and was suspected of driving under the influence. He was then arrested for DUI at the time of the crash.

Both drivers of Camaro and Ford were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. 

No further information was released. The investigation is ongoing.
