Minor injuries were reported after a semi-truck vs. work truck collision near Nipomo, San Luis Obispo County, on Monday afternoon, April 29, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. along Highway 166 just outside of Nipomo.
One of the trucks involved reportedly overturned as a result of the crash, with its trailer blocking a chunk of the roadway. The scene also smelled of gas, and debris from the damages sustained by both trucks littered all around.
According to the reports, the incident only resulted in minor injuries, but an ambulance was called to the scene at about 1:40 p.m. The total number of injured individuals was not disclosed.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No further details were provided.
