One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash involving two big rigs in Fresno on Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. along Highway 99, north of Highway 41.
CHP said that the collision involved two big rigs and a Ford F-250 pickup truck. Upon arrival, officers found the pickup pinned beneath the back side of one of the big rigs.
The driver of the F-250 had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to a nearby hospital after sustaining serious injuries. The driver is reportedly still in critical condition at the time of this writing. No other injuries were reported at this time.
Additional information was not immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary evidence to pinpoint the cause of the incident and the possible factors involved.
