[05-10-2024] Male Cyclist Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Hit-And-Run Vehicle in VictorvilleA male cyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Victorville on Friday evening, May 10, 2024. 

According to the Victorville Police Department, the collision happened around 8:19 p.m. along Mariposa and Nisqualli Roads. 

Authorities stated that the victim, identified as 56-year-old Paul P., was in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle. He was transported by AMR to the hospital and airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC).

When deputies responded to the scene, they found a portion of the mangled bike on the sidewalk and other debris scattered across the roadway. The victim’s sister said to the police that following the crash, the car’s driver left her brother by the side of the road. The cyclist remains in the hospital in critical condition.

The investigators have yet to release further information. As of this time, no other details regarding the incident were provided.
