[05-13-2024] Two People Killed Following Single-Vehicle Collision in PalmdaleTwo people were killed following a single-vehicle collision in Palmdale on Monday afternoon, May 13, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal crash happened just after 2:00 p.m. at the 2900 block of Olive Drive, west of 30th Street East.

It is said that a 2005 Nissan Altima with two people inside, a driver and a passenger, was traveling eastbound on Olive Drive at a high rate of speed before it lost control and crashed into a nearby tree.

The driver was declared dead at the scene. The passenger, meanwhile, still had life when responders arrived and was transported to a nearby hospital but later perished due to the injuries sustained. Authorities have yet to identify the deceased.
