[05-13-2024] Driver Killed, Another Injured Following Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision Involving DUI in GratonA driver was killed, and another was injured following a two-vehicle head-on collision involving a DUI in Graton, Sonoma County, on Monday morning, May 13, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:39 a.m. on Guerneville Road just west of Laguna Road.

Authorities stated that two female drivers were traveling in opposing directions on Guerneville Road when one of them crossed over the double yellows and caused the crash. 

Upon arrival, the police found the woman trapped in her car. She suffered from critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman who caused the crash was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. She was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence
