A 23-year-old rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Burbank on Wednesday night, May 8, 2024.
According to the Burbank Police Department, the fatal accident happened at about 10:10 p.m. at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Beachwood Drive.
The motorcyclist, later identified as 23-year-old Christopher T. from San Fernando, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. There is no word yet if the driver was also injured or not.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the crash may have been a result of driving at an unsafe speed. Alcohol or drug impairment is not seen as a possible factor, said the police.
No arrests have been made thus far. Further information was not immediately available.
