At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Downtown Los Angeles on early Wednesday morning, May 8, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the responding officers were dispatched at around 2:11 a.m. to the Martin Luther King Jr. on-ramp of the northbound freeway for a collision.
Authorities stated that the crash involved two vehicles, including a white minivan and a gray Dodge Charger. Emergency health workers were called to the scene and pronounced one person dead due to the collision.
Drivers of both vehicles have not been named yet. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed by the investigators. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The number of involved parties remains unclear.
