A 34-year-old pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Otay Mesa West, San Diego, on Friday evening, May 3, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision happened around 7:49 p.m. at the 1200 block of Picador Boulevard.
Authorities stated that a 26-year-old male driver of a 2017 Ram pickup truck turned out of a parking lot on the west part of Picador and struck the pedestrian walking west across the boulevard.
Police said the victim sustained a fractured pelvis and was transported to UC San Diego Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
No further details were released, and the authorities are gathering all necessary information to determine the cause of the accident.
