According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the incident occurred at around 7:07 p.m. along Peach Avenue between Sycamore Street and Manzanita Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the pedestrian lying in the northbound lane. The victim was then rushed to Desert Valley Hospital and eventually airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for further medical care.

The vehicle that hit the victim, a white Volkswagen SUV, had observable damage around the headlights and hood area. Its driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Additional information was not immediately available, and the authorities are still gathering all the necessary evidence to determine the cause of the collision.
