A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Oakland on Sunday evening, April 21, 2024.
According to the Oakland Police Department, the traffic incident happened at around 6:15 p.m. at Grand Avenue and Perkins Street.
Upon arrival, police found the rider lying on the ground with considerable injuries. The victim was then taken to a local hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle that collided with the motorcycle remained at the scene. It is unclear if speed, alcohol, or drugs were factors in the incident.
OPD is still investigating the cause of the accident. A dirt bike sideshow was commencing while they were investigating, said the police.
