Three people were injured after a two-vehicle DUI crash in Bakersfield on Tuesday night, April 16, 2024.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the traffic incident happened at about 9:45 p.m. at the South Union Avenue and Brundage Lane intersection.
Upon arrival, police found three people with varying degrees of injuries. One of them was the suspected DUI driver, 22-year-old Sonnie V. He sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after receiving proper treatment.
The other two people injured were in the car that the arrested driver struck. Both of them sustained minor injuries. The identities of the two victims were not disclosed at this time.
