A 71-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Burbank on Sunday afternoon, April 21, 2024.
According to the Burbank Police Department, the fatal incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the Empire Center, west of the Golden State Freeway and north of Victory Boulevard.
An unspecified vehicle reportedly hit the elderly victim in a parking lot near the Krispy Kreme restaurant and the Sephora store for unknown reasons.
The victim sustained major injuries, but was later declared dead at the scene. The driver stayed on site and cooperated with the police.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fatal collision. Investigations are still underway.
