A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in West Covina on Monday evening, April 15, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred at about 10:12 p.m. along Interstate 10 near the Vincent Avenue North onramp.
Reports indicate that a pedestrian was traversing the traffic lanes, which caused vehicles to swerve. A red Ford Explorer struck the victim, who was declared dead at the scene.
A multi-vehicle crash happened at the same time. It is currently unclear how many people were involved or if any others were injured.
The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
