[09-27-2023] Riverside County, CA – 53-Year-Old Male Bicyclist Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Collision in Norco

A 53-year-old male bicyclist was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision in Norco on Wednesday morning, September 27, 2023.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred near River Road, just before Bluff Street, at around 6:00 a.m.

The bicyclist, Alvaro C., was riding his bike to the train station on his way to work. As he approached River Road, he was struck from behind by an unspecified vehicle. The driver did not stop to assist the rider or call 911.

The rider was discovered by an off-duty officer who called for medical assistance. The victim was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital with a fractured cheekbone, an injured wrist, and a large head laceration.
