[09-27-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – At Least One Person Killed Following Traffic Collision in Coyote

At least one person was killed after a traffic collision in Coyote, Santa Clara County, on Wednesday evening, September 27, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, they were dispatched to Highway 101 near the Coyote Creek Gold Drive onramp after learning about the collision shortly after 7:00 p.m.

A portion of the highway’s southbound lanes were shut down for more than two hours as the CHP investigated what caused the crash, what events led up to it, and exactly how many were injured or killed.

The authorities have not released further information about the fatal collision.
