[09-07-2023] Tulare County, CA – Hit-and-Run Victim Led Suspect’s Arrest in Visalia

A victim of a hit-and-run collision led to the arrest of a suspect in Visalia on Thursday morning, September 07, 2023.

According to the Visalia Police Department, the collision happened around 10:00 a.m. along Highway 198.

The victim initially did not show any visible injuries after being struck, and began tailing the suspect’s vehicle while informing the authorities.

The vehicle was reportedly found between County Center Drive and Caldwell Avenue, where its two occupants tried to flee. The driver, 20-year-old Marco M., was arrested for felony hit-and-run, DUI causing injury, resisting arrest, and three other charges.

Meanwhile, his passenger, a 28-year-old named Homero A, was transported to Kaweah Health after being found to be extremely intoxicated.

No further details were released, and the investigation into the collision continues.
