[09-13-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Male Motorcyclist Killed Following Hit-and-Run Collision in Tujunga

A male motorcyclist was killed after a hit-and-run collision in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Big Tujunga Canyon Road, just north of mile postmark 7.79, just before 6:00 p.m.

CHP officer Job B. stated that a black Yamaha motorcycle was heading south on the road when a gray Ford Maverick in the opposite lane collided with it, ejecting the rider.

The Ford fled the scene shortly after the collision, but the CHP later arrested the suspect near the intersection of Oak Springs Canyon Road and Sand Canyon Road.

The unidentified victim reportedly died from the injuries he sustained. However, whether he died at the scene or in a hospital is unclear.

No further information was released regarding the incident, as an investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash.
