[09-13-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Man Hospitalized Following Pickup Truck Collision in Hesperia

A pedestrian man was hospitalized after getting hit by a pickup truck in Hesperia on Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, the incident occurred along Bear Valley Road between Third and Second Avenue at around 6:05 a.m.

Authorities reported that a pedestrian was hit by a white GMC 2500HD sweeper truck. The pickup truck sustained significant damage to the right side of its hood and front bumper before entering Tom’s parking lot, where the police contacted the adult male driver.

The victim was rushed to the emergency room at Desert Valley Hospital and later airlifted via a Mercy Air helicopter to Antelope Valley Hospital with unspecified injuries.

No further information was released as an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
