[09-03-2023] One Person Killed, Another Injured Following Fiery Two-Vehicle Collision in OaklandOne person was killed, and four others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash in San Luis Obispo County on Monday afternoon, September 4, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle collision occurred around 12:50 p.m. along Highway 116 on Alamo Creek Road near Twitchell Reservoir.

At 1:40 p.m., authorities reported that all occupants had been extricated from their vehicles, with emergency personnel from San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties on the scene.

Five patients were to be transported from the collision scene via two ambulances and two medevac helicopters, as requested by emergency personnel. The extent of the patient’s injuries was unknown, but the CHP confirmed that one person was killed in the collision.

No further details were revealed about what caused the collision or the identities of those involved. It is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing, and anyone with information about it should contact police as soon as possible.
