[09-04-2023] Sacramento County, CA – Motorcyclist Dead, Two Others Injured Following Collision With Truck in Citrus Heights

One motorcyclist died, and two others were injured after a collision between a motorcycle and a truck in Citrus Heights on Monday morning, September 4, 2023.

The Citrus Heights Police Department responded to the incident around 11:08 a.m., along Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard.

Upon the arrival of medical respondents, the motorcyclist was given aid and was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, the rider later died at the hospital.

The injured driver and passenger of the truck remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.

As a result of the crash, westbound Greenback Lane from Arcadia Drive to Sunrise Boulevard was closed for several hours.

Initial police investigation led authorities to believe that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the collision.
