[09-02-2023] San Diego County, CA – Pedestrian Killed Following Pickup Truck Collision in Mission Valley East

A pedestrian was killed after a pickup truck collision in San Diego on early Saturday morning, September 2, 2023.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred on the northbound lane of 700 Camino de la Reina at around 1:52 a.m.

Police stated that a pedestrian was crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk while pushing a shopping cart. Officials said that the victim walked straight into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 27-year-old man.
