[09-01-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Man Killed Following Hit-and-Run Collision in Sun Valley, Suspect at Large

A pedestrian man in his 20s was killed after a hit-and-run collision in Los Angeles on Friday morning, September 1, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred on Lankershim Boulevard around 2:00 a.m.

Officials from the LAPD and the Los Angeles Fire Department were responding to a witness report where they found a man in his 20s at the scene of the accident. It is unclear whether the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk or not.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian and fled the scene northbound on the boulevard was described as a dark-colored Nissan sedan. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
