[12-31-2025] Semi-Truck Crash Blocks Lanes on Northbound Interstate 15 Near Mission ValleyA crash involving a semi-trailer truck blocked several lanes of traffic on the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Mission Valley in San Diego County on Wednesday afternoon, December 31, 2025.

According to authorities, a SigAlert was issued around 1:30 p.m. for northbound State Route 15 near Interstate 8 and Camino Del Rio, backing up traffic as far as Adams Avenue. 

The California Department of Transportation reported that two left northbound lanes were blocked due to the crash. California Highway Patrol logs also indicated that the collision caused damage to the center divider wall on the southbound side of the freeway.

Caltrans said the blocked lanes reopened at approximately 4:30 p.m. The number of vehicles involved and whether any injuries occurred were not immediately known.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
