[12-31-2025] Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on El Sobrante RoadA pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Riverside on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported shortly before 6:00 p.m. on El Sobrante Road east of Mockingbird Canyon Road.

Officers arrived to find a man lying in the eastbound lanes of El Sobrante Road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators determined the man was struck by a vehicle that fled without stopping.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as Ronney V., 61, of Moreno Valley. CHP said the driver involved in the crash had not been located as of Friday.
