A driver was hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a building in the 300 block of East Gobbi Street near Waugh Lane in Ukiah on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday night, December 31, 2025.
According to the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority, crews were dispatched around 10:40 p.m. to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a structure and caused significant damage.
Battalion Chief Eric Singleton said the vehicle had traveled over a curb, a planter, and a three-foot metal fence before coming to rest fully inside the building near the intersection of East Gobbi Street and Waugh Lane. Authorities said the vehicle had been traveling northbound on Waugh Lane prior to the crash.
Firefighters found a passenger already out of the vehicle, while the driver remained trapped inside. The driver was quickly extricated and transported to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley for treatment.
The Ukiah Police Department was investigating the crash, and no information regarding a possible arrest was immediately available.
