A solo-vehicle crash in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles, left one man trapped and another injured early Saturday morning, December 28, 2024.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the incident in the 3900 block of South Cloverdale Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Emergency crews found a black Fiat 500 that had crashed into a large commercial dumpster filled with dirt and a light pole. The impact pushed the car onto the fence of a nearby home.
One male occupant was trapped inside the vehicle, prompting firefighters to initiate a physical rescue. Crews extricated the man and transported him to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
A second male occupant also sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital, with his condition also unknown.
Firefighters used heavy rescue equipment to lift the vehicle off the fence.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but authorities suspect speed was a contributing factor. No further details are available at this time.
