A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 8 near Dunaway Road in Imperial County resulted in multiple injuries and significant traffic disruptions on Friday night, December 27, 2024.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m., leading to the closure of both eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 8 for an extended period as emergency crews responded.
One victim was airlifted to an out-of-Valley hospital by REACH Air Ambulance, while four others were transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment.
