A three-vehicle collision west of the South Park neighborhood in South Los Angeles resulted in one fatality and left three others hospitalized, including one with serious injuries, early Wednesday morning, December 25, 2024.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene at approximately 1:53 a.m. on 250 West 53rd Street, east of Broadway.
Firefighters found multiple victims at the crash site, with one person requiring extrication from the wreckage, according to LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
One individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was transported to a hospital in serious condition, while two others were taken in fair condition.
Five additional passengers declined medical transport, Stewart reported.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
