A multi-vehicle crash involving five cars caused significant traffic disruptions on the eastbound 210 Freeway near Citrus Avenue in Azusa early Tuesday morning, December 23, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 1:40 a.m. CHP later confirmed that five vehicles were involved.
Officials were unable to confirm the total number of victims, though the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that three people were transported to hospitals with injuries described as unknown. Additional reports indicated that as many as four to five individuals may have been taken to area hospitals.
Authorities noted that heavy fog was present in the area at the time of the crash. Eastbound traffic in the Azusa area was heavily affected, with all but one lane shut down as crews responded and investigated.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
