According to witnesses, the crash occurred around 12:20 p.m. when a black Nissan Sentra, traveling southbound on Hesperia Road, was struck by a black SUV heading westbound on Bear Valley Road. The SUV reportedly failed to stop at the scene and fled the area at high speed.

Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital. Her daughter, who was secured in a car seat in the back, was unharmed but shaken.

Authorities closed the westbound lanes of Bear Valley Road temporarily as they investigated the incident. Sheriff’s officials are actively searching for the SUV and its driver.
