A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision at the intersection of Chelsea Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard near Douglas Park in Santa Monica on Sunday evening, December 22, 2024.
According to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to multiple calls at approximately 6:40 p.m. and found the woman at the scene. She succumbed to her injuries shortly after their arrival.
The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Wilshire Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Authorities conducted an area search but were unable to locate the vehicle or driver.
The identity of the victim and details about the suspect vehicle have not yet been released.
