One person was killed after a fiery crash involving a car and a semi-truck on the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway near Osbourne Street in Pacoima, Los Angeles, early Sunday morning, December 21, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:45 a.m. and resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire.
Authorities confirmed one fatality but said it was not immediately clear whether the person who died was inside the car or the semi-truck. Several freeway lanes were shut down as emergency crews responded to the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
