A Righetti High School student sustained injuries after being struck by a vehicle near South Bradley and Woodmere Road in Santa Maria on Friday morning, December 20, 2024.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported that the incident occurred between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The injured student was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District confirmed they are in contact with the student’s family and have made counseling services available for those affected by the incident.
