A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a collision with an SUV on Highway 74 in Meadowbrook, Riverside County, on Thursday afternoon, December 19, 2024.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. on the westbound side of the highway near Hammack Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist collided with a Toyota Rav4, possibly while attempting to maneuver around another vehicle that had pulled in front of him.
Good Samaritans stopped to provide life-saving measures until Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on-site.
Both westbound lanes of Highway 74 remained closed as of 1:50 p.m. while CHP officers investigated the incident.
